What is Outdoor School?
Outdoor School is a structured three-day program at Dogpatch designed to give dogs meaningful outdoor experiences that balance activity, learning, and genuine fun. Dogs spend their days engaged in purposeful enrichment while building confidence, good manners, and comfort in a group setting.
Outdoor School runs Tuesday through Thursday monthly ( see calendar below for the scheduled dates)
What to Expect
Each session is thoughtfully paced to blend activity and rest across three full days:
- Sniffaris — guided scent walks that engage natural instincts
- Recall refreshers — playful practice coming when called, even with distractions
- Basic command tune-ups — gentle reinforcement of sit, stay, and polite greetings
- Enrichment games — puzzles, interactive play, and group activities
- Cuddle breaks and social time — because rest is part of the program too
Dogs go home happy, fulfilled, and pleasantly tired.
Who Can Join
Outdoor School is open to all registered Dogpatch dogs by reservation. Whether your dog is a current boarding guest, a returning daycare dog, or brand new to Dogpatch, you’re welcome here.
For new dogs, the three-day format gives us a much fuller picture of who they are — how they settle, engage, rest, and integrate with the group — often more than a single day visit can offer.
All dogs must be registered before participating.

Already registered? Great. This form is something different — it’s specific to Outdoor School and helps us get to know your dog on a more personal level before their first session. The registration form covers the basics. This one is where the good stuff lives.
Schedule & Logistics
Drop-off: Tuesday morning, 8:15–9:30 AM Bus Stop location — 224 NW 13th Ave
Return: Thursday evening, 5–6 PM at the same location
Prefer to skip the bus stop and bring your dog straight to us? Drop-off directly at Dogpatch is available by appointment.
We share photos, highlights, and videos on Instagram throughout the week so you can follow along and see what your dog has been up to.
Reservations
