At Dogpatch Resort, we believe dogs learn best through adventure, enrichment, and community. Outdoor School is a structured, multi-day program designed to give dogs meaningful outdoor experiences that balance activity, learning, and rest.
Outdoor School runs Tuesday through Thursday during the second week of each month.
How to Reserve Outdoor School
To reserve a session, click on the highlighted date within the month shown on the calendar below. Selecting that date will take you to the reservation form for that month’s Outdoor School session.
What to Expect
During Outdoor School, dogs enjoy three days of immersive, thoughtfully paced activities that support confidence, good manners, and overall well-being:
- Sniffaris — guided scent walks that engage natural instincts
- Recall refreshers — playful practice coming when called, even with distractions
- Basic command tune-ups — gentle reinforcement of sit, stay, and polite greetings
- Enrichment games — puzzles, fetch, tug, and interactive play
- Cuddle breaks & social time — balancing energy with calm and comfort
Days are intentionally structured to blend activity and rest, ensuring dogs return home happy, fulfilled, and pleasantly tired.
Who Can Join
Outdoor School is available to:
- Outdoor School is available to registered Pack in the Cloud members, including:
- Current Dogpatch boarding guests, at no additional charge
- Former playday dogs, by reservation
- New dogs, as an alternative to a one-day trial assessment
- For new dogs, Outdoor School can serve as an extended trial. The multi-day format allows us to get to know a dog more fully — including how they settle, engage, rest, and integrate with the group — often providing a clearer picture than a single day.
- Each session is limited to ensure attentive, personalized care.

Schedule & Logistics
Pick-up: Tuesday morning, 8:15–9:30 AM at our Bus Stop
(224 NW 13th Ave)
Return: Thursday evening, 5–6 PM to that same spot, with tired and happy campers
Drop-off at Dogpatch is also available for Outdoor School. If you prefer to bring your dog directly to the resort, you’re welcome to do so by appointment.
Throughout the week, we share highlights, photos, and videos on Instagram so you can follow along with your dog’s Outdoor School experience.

Spots do fill quickly, so we recommend reserving early for the months you’re interested in. That said, we always do our best to accommodate last-minute changes when possible.
